Trigger Types
Three trigger methods give you complete scheduling flexibility. Simple interval triggers fire on consistent time intervals such as seconds, hours, days, or weeks. Period triggers use your Company date pattern for business-calendar-aware schedules such as "the last day of the month." Cron triggers provide advanced algorithms for complex patterns like "every 20 minutes between 8:00 and 20:00, Monday to Friday."
Scheduler Variables
Apply one change across many reports instantly. Cantara Scheduler Variables let you define reusable values for Processing Options, Report Interconnects, and Data Selection parameters. Update a single variable, such as a GL Date override, and every report definition that references it is updated automatically. Variables also support email addresses for notification routing, so reassigning a responsible person updates all their alert subscriptions in one place.
